Terms of service

Last updated 10 October 2026. These terms cover this website, the EdgeWeave marketplace and the shop.

1. Who we are

The website, marketplace and shop are run by EdgeWeave Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17491262. Our registered office is 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA. You can reach us at [email protected]. By using them, or by buying something, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. The EdgeWeave app

EdgeWeave is desktop software that runs on your own computer. The marketplace is where you can find, buy and install extra modules (collections of nodes) for it. These terms do not replace the EdgeWeave software licence, which covers the app itself.

3. Using the marketplace as a buyer

  • What you get. Buying a module gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use it, on up to the number of EdgeWeave installs shown with your licence. You do not own the module itself.
  • Your licence key. Keep it private. Do not share, sell or publish it. We may switch off a key that is shared or used beyond the allowed installs.
  • No resale or redistribution. You may not copy a paid module to other people, republish it, or resell it.
  • Your account details. Give us a correct email address. We use it to send receipts and to help you recover a lost key.
  • Payment. Prices are shown in pounds. Payment is taken by Stripe, and we do not see or store your card details.
  • Refunds. See the marketplace refunds policy. For physical items, see delivery and returns.

4. Modules run code on your computer

A module is software and runs with the same access as EdgeWeave itself, which includes your files and network. We scan modules when they are published, but no scan is perfect. Install modules only from sources you trust, and keep backups of work that matters. Modules by other creators are their work, not ours, and we do not endorse or guarantee them beyond what is set out in section 9.

5. Selling on the marketplace as a creator

  • Your module. You keep ownership of what you publish. You give us a licence to host, copy, scan, display and deliver it to buyers, and to show its name, description and screenshots to promote it.
  • What you promise. You have the right to publish it, it does not infringe anyone's rights, and its description is accurate. It must not contain malware or code that harms the user or their data, collects data without clear disclosure, or hides what it does.
  • Publishing checks. We run security checks on every upload and may reject, hold or remove a module that fails them or that we reasonably believe breaks these terms.
  • Pricing and fees. You set the price. We keep a commission of 20% of each sale, and Stripe's processing fees apply. We can change the commission with at least 30 days' notice; it will not apply to sales made before the change.
  • Payouts. You are paid through Stripe Connect, so you must complete Stripe's onboarding and accept Stripe's terms. Payout timing is Stripe's. You are responsible for your own tax.
  • Refunds. When we refund a buyer under our policy, the refund is taken from your share of that sale as well as ours. The same applies to chargebacks.
  • Support and updates. You are responsible for supporting your module and fixing problems. If you remove a module, existing buyers keep their licences.

6. Things you must not do

Do not use the marketplace or website to break the law, attack or probe our systems, scrape them at a rate that harms the service, bypass licence checks, publish malicious or misleading modules, or infringe other people's rights.

7. Reporting a problem or a copyright complaint

If you think a module is harmful, misleading or infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the module name and the details. We will look into it, and may remove the module while we do.

8. Our intellectual property

The EdgeWeave, PolyWeave and SimWeave names, logos, this website and the app are ours or our licensors'. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the services as intended.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, for business losses if you use the services for business, or for loss of data caused by a module. For anything else, our total liability for a purchase is limited to what you paid us for it. We provide the marketplace and free modules as they are, and do not promise it will always be available or error free.

10. Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access, or a licence, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or to meet a legal duty. If we do so for a paid licence that you bought and did not misuse, we will refund it. You can stop using the services at any time.

11. Your data

We collect the email address and payment details you give when you buy, and the install identifier of the app you use, so that we can process the sale, issue and check licences, and provide support. Payment details are handled by Stripe. We do not sell your data. See our privacy notice for the full detail.

12. Changes

We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top. If a change materially affects creators or buyers we will give notice by email or on the marketplace. Changes do not apply to purchases already made.

13. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you can also use your local courts. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Nobody else has rights to enforce these terms.
