Marketplace refunds

This covers paid modules from the EdgeWeave marketplace and EdgeWeave licences bought on this site. Physical items from the shop are covered by the delivery and returns page.

If something is wrong

If a module will not install, does not work, or is materially different from its description, email [email protected] within 30 days of buying it. Tell us the email address you paid with, the module name and what went wrong. We will help you fix it where we can. If it cannot be fixed, we will refund the full price.

Changed your mind

Modules and licences are digital. You can ask for a refund for any reason within 14 days of buying, and we will normally agree if you have not made substantial use of it. This is a goodwill policy that goes beyond the minimum the law requires: UK law allows the usual 14-day right to cancel to end once you start downloading digital content, where you have agreed to that when you bought it.

Bought by mistake or twice

If you bought the same item twice or by accident, email us as soon as you can and we will refund the extra purchase.

How a refund works

Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days. When a purchase is refunded in full, its licence key stops working and the module should be uninstalled. A refund also takes back the creator's share of the sale, because the payment was split between the creator and EdgeWeave when you bought it. Partial refunds, for example a goodwill discount, leave the licence working.

Your licence

A purchase belongs to you, not to one version of the app. You can install your module again on a new release, and use it on the number of installs your licence allows. If a creator later removes a module from the marketplace, your licence keeps working. If you lose a key, use the recovery option in the app or ask us.

Free modules

Free modules are provided as they are and there is nothing to refund, but please report anything harmful to us.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. We can usually resolve things faster, and a dispute suspends the licence until it is settled.

For creators

Modules are sold through the marketplace and you are paid through Stripe. When we refund a buyer, the amount is taken back from your share of that sale as well as from ours, so you do not need to do anything. We refund when a module does not work as described, so please keep descriptions accurate and test your module on a clean install before you publish. A module with repeated valid complaints may be removed from the marketplace. Existing buyers keep their licences.

Your legal rights

Nothing here limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
